Tree Crown Cleaning / Deadwood
Cleaning out is a simple process to remove unsightly features within the tree; for example climbing plants, dead or dying branches, accumulations of leaf litter and rubbish.
Removal of deadwood is not always recommended by professional tree surgeons. Where deadwood poses no risk to people and property it is preferable to allow it to remain on the tree. More and more research highlights the importance of deadwood as habitat for a wide variety of invertebrate life. Where removal of deadwood is unavoidable, the creation of ‘habitat piles’ may mitigate some of the environmental damage.
