Can you see a shed beneath this Willow Tree?
James and Tom had quite a task dismantling this tree which fell on to a rather unfortunate shed! However we are pleased to report that the tree was expertly removed without any further damage to the shed and the site was completely cleared up leaving the garden looking as good as new.

- The Dave Ford Tree Care Team
We had a great day last Friday on our team day! Nearly the whole Dave Ford Tree Care team were in attendance including our newest addition James. We really enjoy getting the whole gang together as it happens less often than you would imagine but is always both productive and fun.
One of our main priorities of the day was working together to come up with new ideas and ways that we can continue to provide a top quality service to our customers, something which we will always strive to both achieve and constantly improve.
If you have any suggestions or feedback we are always grateful to hear them so please get in touch.
And don’t forget to look out for James who is now out and about as a fully fledged member of Dave Ford Tree Care!

We have planted approximately 70 specimen trees, a small woodland and about 1000 metres of hedgerows all around the area.
Don’t forget planting is as much our business as pruning and felling and we love to get our hands dirty. Please call for planting advice and consultation. Anything from single specimen trees, all types of hedging and larger planting schemes, be it a small woodland or an avenue, we’ll have a crack at anything. It’s good to keep the world’s oxygen supply going!
Venteran Tree Managment
“Retrenchment pruning” on some veteran Oak trees on Newdigate Brocus. (A large park in the centre of the village). This is a technique used on poorly / declining trees in an attempt to restore a better root: shoot ratio and rejuvenate the crowns. It can improve and lengthen the lives of trees enabling them to be enjoyed for longer and most importantly reducing the risk of failure of whole or parts of a tree. We are able to advise and implement all kinds of veteran tree management.

I recently attended a lecture by Tony Kirkham of Kew Gardens, titled from Inspiration to Installation. What inspired him to work with trees, from playing conkers as a child to becoming a tree climber at Kew and then worked his way up the tree / ladder and has had some amazing botanical adventures all around the world. His latest accomplishment is an aerial walkway, 18m above ground, through tree top canopies at Kew enabling visitors to get up into the trees. It is well worth a visit! Do go if you have a head for heights.
